If you haven't registered, yet, there's no time like the present. Click on the "Register Here" button below to see what all is planned and to claim your spot. (Note, tickets for Jim's Jameson Singers retirement concert are limited... orders will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.)

Want to see who is already registered? Click on the "Register Here" link below, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and there you'll see who has signed up. Check back often to see when your favorite fellow Gleeks have registered. Or, better yet, email/call your friends and encourage them to register now.

Please note a few key details:

Jim’s Retirement Concert
The Jameson Singers concert will be at Jordan Hall at the New England Conservatory, located near Symphony Hall at 30 Gainsborough Street in Boston (and not at First Church Cambridge as originally planned or Sanders Theatre). There are several parking garages nearby, the closest being at 10 Gainsborough Street, or you can take the T (Green Line E to the Symphony stop). In addition, concert attendees are invited to a post-concert reception with Jim in Brown Hall (in the Jordan Hall building) – no separate ticket required.

Concert Tickets
If you registered prior to May 3, your concert tickets were sent to you via U.S. Mail. If you registered after May 3 or requested that we hold your tickets, you should pick up your tickets from HGCF Executive Director James Giessler (grey-haired/white bearded guy wearing a Glee Club tie) who will be standing near the Box Office/Will-Call windows.

Saturday Morning with Jim
Jim has a tight schedule on Saturday – he can only be with us in the morning – but he would love to see as many of you as possible. We’ve added a “Rise & Shine Coffee” with Jim at 9:45am in the Horner Room (formerly the Agassiz Ballroom) in Agassiz House to be followed by Jim leading the group in a run-through of a few of his favorite HGC pieces. Plan to join us if you can.

Saturday Afternoon Break
We have a lot of singing planned for the weekend so we thought you might appreciate a little break in the afternoon. Hang out with your tour mates over coffee in the Square or grab a quick siesta. We’ve also arranged to have some current HGC members take a group on a tour of the recently-completed renovations at the Smith Center (formerly Holyoke Center) – now a student center – and the “refreshed” Winthrop House or Dunster House. We’ll share more information about that tour at the all-group sing early Saturday afternoon.

Saturday Event Venues
Due to Harvard’s exam schedule, we were not able to book the campus venues we’d typically use. We will instead be using the Agassiz Theatre and Horner Room at Agassiz House in Radcliffe Yard and the Tyler Room in Burnham Hall across the street on the former Episcopal Divinity School campus, now Lesley University. We’ve noted the locations on the attached map. If you get lost, call 617.547.GLEE (4533) and we’ll help find you.

Weather
Saturday is expected to be partly sunny with temperatures in the mid-60s, and no appreciable threat of rain ... should be a lovely day!

Attire
All events on Saturday are casual. Dress for comfort in something that will allow you to sing well and have a good time!

As always, if you have any questions, please email jgiessler@hgcfoundation or call/text 617.547.GLEE (4533).

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

CHECK OUT THESE IMAGES FOR A DOSE OF MARVIN-ISMS

Whether it's vintage Marvin or more recent Marvin you're looking for, we have some great new additions to the HGCF website. Click on the images below to satisfy your need for Marvin-isms. On the left is the Marvin Tribute Book ("And May the Muse Inspire Each Future Song!") that was created in celebration of Jim's retirement from Harvard. On the right is the video from last month's "A Conversation with Jim Marvin" event in which Jim chats with Andy Clark about his new book "Emotion in Choral Singing: Reading Between the Notes" and other various and sundry topics that come into his mind.
