While you may not believe it, HGC Lite is celebrating its 25th anniversary! While some of us remember the early years of Yesterday, Maria, and Rockin’ Robin, others of us may be more familiar with Mysterious Ways, If You Could Only See and Everything You Want. No matter what, we all can sing You’re Sixteen about as well as we can Glorious Apollo and the football songs.

To celebrate, HGC Lite is having its 25th Anniversary Jam in Lowell Hall on Friday, November 11 at 8pm. Alumni of all HGC eras are welcome to attend and join in on the Guinness-Book-World-Record-Setting largest ensemble singing of You’re Sixteen!  Alums of Lite are also invited to join HGCF at Cambridge Queen’s Head after the concert to catch up with your brothers in doopsie.  Please let us know that you’re coming by RSVPing here (or, copy and paste this URL in your computer’s browser: http://bit.ly/sXMN5n).

The gentlemen of Lite 2011 and veteran conductors Mike McGaghie and Peter Lifland are also fielding a team of alumni to perform some favorites from Lite’s 25-year history at the concert.  If you would like to join them in Cambridge for a rehearsal on Friday and performance at the concert, please email lite@harvardgleeclub.org for more information.
